William Hill Exits Australia

William Hill Gambling NewsWilliam Hill has stated that they will abandon the Australian market and to withdraw and cease all gambling and sport wagering services that it used to offer to the Australian residents in the Australian market. This came as a result of the stringent process with the Nevada gaming license application.

Another reason for the withdrawal came as a result of the new review of the Australian govt. towards the Australian Interactive Gambling Act 2001. As the Law stated that any poker or casino game related services that are offered to the residents of Australia is deemed illegal and will be punished by Law. Of course, the sport wagering activities of William Will might fall in this category, so William Hill decided to exit the Australian market to avoid such penalties.

The gambling operator has sent an email to its players warning them and telling them about this move. The email stated that due to recent events, the company has decided to exit the Australian market and to cease all sport wagering and gambling operations in Australia. Players who have funds on their accounts, these funds will be transferred to their main account on William Hill and they will be able to withdraw it. The withdrawal can be done through the “My Account” section of the gambling website.
