Ladbrokes Working on its Issues

Online Gambling NewsLadbrokes has openly admitted that it has failed in dealing with its digital business this last Thursday following its announcement that stated that Ladbrokes is going to delay the release of its refurbished online website once again. It is expected to be launched long after the beginning of the new premiere football league. The chief exec of Ladbrokes, Richard Glynn has stated that a lot of wrong decisions have been made in the online and digital section of the company following the decrease of revenue that the online section suffered in the first half of this year. The financial results of H1 – 2012 for the online operations of Ladbrokes suffered a fifty percent decrease when compared to the same period of 2011 despite the fact that the company has been implementing a new strategy and invested over fifty million British pounds.

Ladbrokes was initially planning to release its new refurbished online website in the time for the competitions of Euro 2012. These plans were interrupted as the company stated that it will have to delay the release until the 4th quarter of 2012 which made it miss out on a lot of lucrative sports wagering opportunities. Following this delay, the product director, Richard Ames was fired after receiving a pay off that reached 506 thousand British pounds and a discretionary bonus. According to sources within Ladbrokes, the firing of Richard Ames was executed in order to take the heat away from the chief executive.
