Encore Casino Opened to Rave Reviews on Las Vegas Strip

Many people soundly criticized Las Vegas real estate mogul Steve Wynn for deciding to go ahead with the Encore project back when the economy was doing fine, but storm clouds were being seen by some on the horizon as the first mortgages started to foreclose. Many people went even further and called Wynn a madman when even in spite of the obvious recession that was looming, he decided to continue work on the Encore project. And now, many people have gone ahead and started to claim that Wynn is completely off his rocker for insisting that the opening of the Encore continue as planned even in the face of complete recession bordering on economic collapse in some areas of the industrial base of the United States. However, Wynn simply did not care and went ahead with his policy anyway and he is now reaping the benefits for doing so as the Encore Casino Resort has really started to take off even within a few nights of the actual opening.

In fact, Wynn made just one change to the opening of the Encore and it is that change that really has arguably allowed the Encore to be extremely successful in a short amount of time. That change was to reduce the prices of all of the rooms within the 2000+ room establishment, some of which are now as low as $159 a night. When you consider the fact that the rooms are large, the service is amongst the best in the city and the overall architecture is supposed to inspire confidence in luxury bordering on decadence, there are many rich people paying cheaper prices and even many middle class people able to get a luxurious room that would never have been available to them before the pride reduction that are clamoring for spots at the newly-opened Las Vegas casino resort. Encore has been a big hit and as the name implies, many people that have been there the first time are definitely going to want to come back for more.

There can be no doubt that Wynn was taking a massive gamble in going against the grain in terms of development and he was making that gamble with a full bill on the Encore of $2.3 billion. However, it was a calculated gamble as in addition to going ahead with the construction, Wynn also made sure that he provided service and amenities the likes of which only a few people had ever seen before at prices that most people that come to the city of Las Vegas could afford. With that in mind, the Encore was as close to getting something for nothing as anything could be in a city that has green flowing through its veins and because of that it intrigued people enough that they were willing to come to Las Vegas and give it a chance. Once they were there however, the Encore did its thing and had them wanting more even before they’d finished their vacations and left. Wynn’s Encore seems built to last and now that it has gotten off to the start it needed, the other casinos in the area should definitely be worried.
