It took just four days to reach an ultimate milestone in the 2011 World Series of Poker Main Event.  On this day 693 players are guaranteed to leave the tournament as a money winner.

These players will leave the tournament with no less than $20,000 in their pockets, regardless of what place they end up finishing.  This number includes a substantial number of amateur players who count this as their first major tournament, simply making it this far is a huge achievement, and the prize is the icing on the cake.

Reza Kashani, the player that took the 694th place, a business owner from Irvine, CA, isn’t too unhappy with just missing the cut off.  He’s only been playing poker for a little over a year, and even put up the money for his entry fee out of his own pocket.  The WSOP has already made a statement that they will take care of any entry costs for next year’s main event for him.
