Day Five Main Event started with 378 players which is greatly reduced from the nearly 7,000 players that the 2011 WSOP had this year. Viswanathan, who we’ve been following, dropped a good portion of his stack yesterday which took him from the first place position to a still strong twenty-fifth position.

Mike Ellis London

Mike Ellis (London, UK) and many others were walked the plank but still twenty players from Great Britain remain in the tournament. Mike Ellis was in good company as other big names leaving the tables were Daniel Negreanu, John Cernuto and Freddy Deeb. Mr. Negreanu finished in 211th place with a little over $47,000.

David Bach of the United States is the current chip leader with 4,706,000.
